OUR COMMUNITY
When I was in Junior High School choir we sang a song by Joan Baez
No man is an island,
No man stands alone,
Each man's joy is joy to me,
Each man's grief is my own.
The song reflects a meditation written in the early 1600’s by John Donne, an English poet and priest. He wrote
"No man is an island, entire of himself; every man is a piece of the Continent, a part of the main.”
We are all part of communities. Interacting with our fellow human beings brings
much meaning to our lives. I have always cherished the belief that I was part of something larger.
Many years ago when I first created my website there was no shopping
cart. Every order was placed by email. I was the only “employee,” chief, cook
and bottle washer as they say. Over the years I came to know so many nice
people. I shared engagements, weddings, births, illness and death with
people I had come to know but never met. Of course I am excited that our
company has grown, but I must admit that I miss the intimate contact with
customers.
Each and every one of you is part of the Chagrin Family community, a group of diverse people who share a common interest. In our quest for continued improvement, we have listened to you, our customers, and have learned a lot. We have tweaked and refined our formulations to make them even better and have created some wonderful products in response to customer feedback.
We love hearing from our community – your input, comments and suggestions. Positive feedback encourages and inspires us, and constructive criticism helps us to improve the quality of our products and service.
