Help me choose a Natural Moisturizer

Whipped Cocoa Butter

The path to beautiful skin begins with natural cleansing and moisturizing.

Moisturizers seal in natural moisture and keep your skin hydrated and supple. The cosmetic industry preys on our desire for beautiful skin by bombarding us with an overwhelming collection of beautifully packaged expensive products that promise a miracle in a jar.

We do not promise miracles. What we do promise are natural safe products made with plant oils and butters that are easily absorbed and nourishing to your skin.

No synthetic fragrances or colors, no chemical preservatives,
just wholesome natural and organic ingredients you can trust.

Typical moisturizers are either called lotions or creams based on the proportion of oil to water. If you look at the first, and most abundant, ingredient on a bottle of lotion it is water. The water evaporates quickly and you are left with dry skin. Our moisturizers do not contain water.

Generally, products with more oil are more emollient and provide greater long lasting protection. However, the more oil a product contains, the greasier it feels on the skin initially. Notice I said initially. Where a lotion will absorb in a few seconds, a concentrated cream make take several minutes. However, once absorbed it will no longer feel greasy and you will notice that it needs to be applied much less often.

Finding the best moisturizer is often a trial and error process and what works for one person may not work for another. The most common question we receive from customers is...

“You have so many different moisturizers. What is the difference?”

A common question often asked is, "Should I refrigerate my moisturizers?"

We don't necessarily recommend that you refrigerate your moisturizers, especially the whipped butters. If you live in a very hot climate and your home is not air conditioned, you may not have a choice.  Otherwise, we recommend simply storing them in a room temperature space, the cooler the room, the better.
