Although aging is a natural process of life, we are constantly bombarded with commercials that promote products to eliminate the signs of aging and make us feel sad about getting older. I celebrate my age (pushing 60). I do not want to fill in my laugh lines or get rid of all the facial imperfections that tell my story. I just want healthy looking skin.
Facial skin, one of the most sensitive areas of our body, is a bit different from the rest of your skin. It is rich in sebaceous glands that secrete sebum, the natural lubricating oil of your skin, which can trap dead skin cells and dirt causing skin blemishes. The cells making up the epidermis of the face are finer and rich in pores meaning less of a barrier to environmental chemicals. Facial skin is also more prone to water loss.
What does this mean for you? Using a soap that will gently cleanse away dirt without washing away all of the precious natural oils, gently exfoliating to remove dead skin cells and unclog pores, moisturizing, and choosing wholesome natural products to prevent absorption of harmful chemicals are extremely important.
A healthy complexion starts with healthy skin care products!
- Complexion Soaps
All of our soaps are naturally moisturizing. So what makes a complexion soap? Complexion soaps are superfatted a bit more than body soaps to provide extra moisturization. They are unscented or very lightly scented with pure essential oils known to be good for facial skin. The soaps are formulated with facial clays, extra butters and skin moisturizing and nourishing ingredients.
- Butter Cream Face Wash
Moisturize and gently cleanse at the same time. The nourishing properties of natural oils and butters are whipped with our moisturizing Aloe soap to create a gentle and conditioning cleansing cream face wash! The yellow color comes from sustainable Organic Virgin Palm Oil, one of the richest plant sources of carotenes and antioxidants.
Scrubs work by removing the top layer of dead skin cells that dull your complexion. Facial skin needs gentle exfoliation to keep your complexion radiant.
- Adzuki Micrograin Facial Scrub
Multipurpose exfoliating organic AZUKI BEAN micrograins gently buff away dull, dry, flaky skin leaving a soft smooth texture and a radiant glow. Adzuki beans contain a natural foaming agent called saponin that helps cleanse pores by removing dirt and dead skin cells, drawing out impurities and promoting circulation. A great product for those prone to acne and blackheads.
- Facial Sorbet: Sugar Scrub and Wash
Nourishing oils whipped with fine grain organic cane sugar and a touch of all natural soap creates a sugar scrub that exfoliates dead skin cells, stimulates dull lifeless skin, and hydrates, while gently cleansing. Evening Primrose Oil, Rosehips oil, and Shea Olein are excellent oils for dry, aging or irritated skin. Your skin will feel smooth, soft and moisturized.
HERBAL FACIAL TEAS: Steams and Toners
Facial steams open pores and allow them to breathe. Facial Toners tighten pores and tone the skin.
- Herbal Facial Teas
Botanical treats for you face, our facial teas are made with organic herbal blends carefully chosen for their properties. Herbs, rich in nutrients, soothe and tone skin. Some teas are great as facial steams like the blends for oily skin, dry skin, mature skin and acne prone skin. Some are great as toners like the astringent and irritated skin blends.

A gentle facial massage with a good moisturizer improves circulation, promotes hydration and helps protect delicate facial skin. Our moisturizers contain nothing artificial, nothing synthetic, just simple natural ingredients that are easily absorbed and allow the skin to breathe
- Whipped Squalane Face Eye Mousse
Our lightest whipped butter, Shea Olein and Olive Squalane whipped to create a silky delicate cream. One of the first areas to show signs of aging is the thin skin surrounding the eyes. This delicate skin, with fewer sebaceous glands, and less collagen and elastin than skin elsewhere on your face, needs special moisturizing. Squalane and Shea Olein promote cell growth and help with dry skin and skin irritations.
- Facial Oils
Facial oils are an easy way to feed your skin. We use nourishing oils such as jojoba, squalane and infused sunflower; healing oils like seabuckthorn, argan and tamanu; and potent seed oils such as Pomegranate, Rosehips, Sesame and Pumpkin to help replenish the skin's own natural oil and promote a healthy complexion. - Whipped Shea Butter
A blend of organic virgin shea butter and skin nourishing oils whipped into a luscious cream that penetrates deep to soothe, heal and pamper your skin. Virgin Shea Butter promotes skin cell growth and helps calm inflamed skin. Use for a more intensive treatment for dry, dehydrated or mature skin.
- Whipped Cocoa Butter
As a facial cream, cocoa butter is only recommended for those with extremely dry skin. Cocoa butter is an excellent all over the body moisturizer as it acts as an emollient (softening and soothing to the skin) that adds a protective layer that locks in natural moisture. It soothes and softens very dry, itchy skin.
