I have never done this with any product ever as I'm usually too busy to sit down
and write reviews of products I buy. To make a long story short, I was shown a video online of toxic chemicals in everyday cleaning products last June. This video intrigued me to do some research on what I was exposing me and my boyfriend everyday....not just chemicals but body products, air fresheners, candles, clothing, cookware, etc. 

My boyfriend suffers from an imbalance of gut flora due to being overprescribed antibiotics to treat lyme disease a few years ago. In turn his immune system was weakened causing him to follow strict diet and limit exposure to EVERYTHING to avoid sickness, allergic reaction, or intense stomach pain. Before seeing that video, I already realized how important our choices were to our health, and seeing that video opened up my eyes to how unaware many people are of what they actually have in their home.

Needless to say, the fact that a few big corporations that own everything are selling 
products with full of known carcinogens/toxins with misleading information or claiming to be "natural" makes it hard to make healthy decisions. Even with the internet it seems like every time we need something, unless we want to buy something that causes cancer, the few things we have to chose from are expensive or just don't work. This new awareness I achieved also brought on immense stress and frustration. This is something me, at 24 do not need, and I can't imagine a family with kids, etc could deal with either. 

While health is priceless, it angers me to think there may be others out there, possibly with a condition like my boyfriend's, that can't afford to buy quality safe products for their family. It is also annoying to always have to be searching for products just to find out they don't work as well as the chemical laden popular, supermarket version. Sometimes I feel like giving up and just buying whatever is most convenient, especially when it comes to beauty and toiletry
products for myself. 

The most frustrating of these was my search for a safe deodorant, which brings me to the main reason for this email. Online it seems like natural non toxic deodorants are just a joke in that ,yes, they are safe but they just do NOT work, with several message boards and blogs discussing this. Everyone seems afraid to use natural products since they are not as strong as the chemicals, and I don't blame them. I spent last summer smelling good for the first hour after applying deodorant then slowly starting to smell sweaty again. There's also so many small businesses or shops selling homemade deodorant in containers that look unsanitary, and at the end of the day the last thing I want to do is buy a bunch of expensive natural ingredients and attempt at concocting my own homemade deodorant.

I was browsing online looking for bar soap that has a nice smell to it instead of plain castille soap that I've been using in place of shower gel, shaving cream, and shampoo/conditioner. I found your soaps and loved all of them, as they didn't clog up my shower drain as my old castille soap did, and the surprisingly soft hair that I found myself with (your butter conditioner bar). I haven't had any type of curl or softness in my hair since I was a baby... I
decided to give your deodorant a try. Even though your soap is amazing I was still skeptical of natural deodorants. I went out on a limb and tried the coconut silk cream  mint mist . Instantly, I knew  I found a product I want to use forever. Using only a small dab , it lasts all day. I have been using a q-tip to apply it so my hands don't get dirty, and I'm good to go. One day I was in a rush and forgot to apply it as I didn't even have time to shower. I was sweating that day, my armpits were damp, yet to my surprise I could not smell anything but the traces of deodorant from the day before. It doesn't smear white marks on clothing, and is not overpowering in scent. It is better than the prescription strength deodorants I used to use twice a day, while needing to constantly change brands due to ineffectiveness after a month or so. 

It makes me so happy that your company exists, offering quality products at fair prices and fast shipping. I am going to continue to use your deodorant and other products and recommend them to everyone I can . I actually feel like someone in an infomercial with my claim here of a product that I love so much, yet I really felt the need to reach out and let you know how much easier you have made my everyday routine and struggle to make healthy choices. Thank you again and keep up the great work! Sincerely your new lifetime customer.  Cat, Connecticut


I've used your Mint Mist & Natural Scent deodorants & am a fan of both.  After first trying the deodorant for a month, as a test I went back and used my store bought deodorant to see how my body would react, and just after a few days I noticed I was developing a rash.  I will never go back to store bought deodorant again!  It took longer to get rid of the rash than it took to develop on my skin.  I read somewhere years ago that antiperspirants weren't good to use, but everything out on the market is a combination of antiperspirant and deodorant. I'm so thankful that I found your company while searching online last August!  My hair and skin thank you all so much for the hard work & dedication it takes in making your natural & organic products!  Jane, Maryland


Hi Ida – I was hesitant to try your natural deodorant, since I’ve tried so many (which didn’t seem to work).  Oh sure . . . they’d smell good for a few hours, but by the end of the day, it wasn’t  pretty. I must say that I am pleasantly surprised by your coconut silk – at least the one I tried.  I ordered the (coconut silk) mint mist.  I really like the scent.  Most importantly, it works – I mean really works. Hi Ida, I have been buying your products for several years now and love your soaps. The peppermint twist and chocolate almond are my all time favorites. I also love the winter survival soap when it is in stock for the winter. Your soaps are the best I have found and leave mine, my husband's, and our children's skin so soft. Now, for the reason I have finally contacted you after all of these years... the coconut silk deodorant! It is fantastic. I have tried tons of natural deodorants such as Bubble and Bee, Soapwalla, Nature's Gate, Alba and Rainwater Botanicals, but none have compared to yours. I have only tried the mint mist scent and it is phenomenal. The deodorant is silky and creamy, rubs into the skin easily and most importantly, lasts ALL day, even in the hot California summers. I have been looking for so long for a deodorant that is truly all natural and that fights odor all day long, and now I have finally found it. Thanks so much!  Jill, California
