Organic Hemp Seed Oil

Organic Hemp Seed Oil

Natural Organic Hempseed Oil Skin CareHemp Seed Oil, Cannabis sativa, cold-pressed from a tiny nut containing about 20 to 35 percent protein, is not the same as "Hemp (CBD) oil" or Marijuana (see below).

Hemp Seed Oil contains little to no CBD and people will not get high when using hemp seed oil, as it contains no tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).

Hemp seeds are basically the fruit or nut of the hemp plant. One of the world's richest sources of polyunsaturated fats, hemp seed oil contains more naturally occurring essential fatty acids (EFA) than any other plant-derived oil. The oil is known for its amazing moisturizing properties due to its high level of both omega fatty acids and linoleic acid.

Rich in vitamin E, hemp seed oil is a great oil for all skin types, balances skin oil production, provides long-lasting moisture, does not clog pores, soothes irritated skin, and may help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Folks with sensitive skin will love how gentle it is.

In hair care, hemp seed oil imparts luster and manageability to hair, bringing relief from dry scalp or hair damage.

We use virgin, unrefined, organic hemo seed oil. Unrefined oils have not gone through a refining, bleaching, or deodorization process and retain their natural color, characteristic scent, and nutritional benefits.

A Very Simple Comparison:
Hemp Seed Oil vs Hemp Oil (CBD) vs Cannabis "Marijuana" Oil

Cannabis (often referred to as marijuana) and hemp are two "varieties" of the same plant species, Cannabis sativa. Because they share the same scientific name they are often lumped into one big category which creates a great deal of confusion around their names and their uses.

How did we get so many "varieties" of the cannabis plant? For thousands of years, humans have been selectively breeding cannabis plants.

In simple terms, if you want to produce a great plant for hemp fiber to use in textiles or rope, you selectively breed plants that provide fiber-rich stalks. If you want hemp "seeds" for oils or food, you breed for high-quality seed production. If you want plants rich in non-psychoactive cannabinoids, like CBD you breed for CDB rich flowers. These types of plants are often called "industrial hemp." Legally Industrial Hemp plants are defined as any Cannabis sativa plant that has 0.3 percent or less THC.

Neither Hemp Seed Oil nor Hemp Oil is considered Marijuana.

"Hemp Seed oil" comes from the seeds of the Cannabis sativa plant. The seeds do not contain CBD, but they still have a rich profile of nutrients, fatty acids, and useful bioactive compounds that can also have health benefits.

Hemp oil usually refers to CBD oil which is produced using the stalks, leaves, and flowers (buds) of the hemp plant. These oils contain a higher concentration of CBD.

The same type of selective breeding occurs for "marijuana" cannabis plants. While these plants all contain greater the 0.3 percent THC they are selectively bred to produce a variety of strains--each of which has its own unique profile. Oil produced from these plants is called "Cannabis" or "Marijuana" oil. Due to selective breeding over decades, concentrations of THC in marijuana cannabis can now range from 10% to as much as 30%. Individual states control how cannabis of this type can be sold (if at all).
