Fennel Essential Oil
Fennel, Foeniculum vulgare, is an ancient herb, believed to convey longevity, strength, and courage. The essential oil is steam distilled from the crushed seeds of the herb.
Fennel, a mild astringent, helps soothe, cleanse, and tone facial skin. It works in harmony with natural skin oils to brighten dull skin without stripping them away.
Fennel oil restores moisture to dry and dehydrated skin, tones dull, oily and mature skin and helps minimize puffiness around the eyes. Fennel has antiseptic properties and is stimulating to the circulation. Fennel is an excellent addition to massage oils to help sore muscles and joints.
Aromatherapy Properties: Fennel has a fresh, clean, and slightly spicy scent with notes of anise that is soothing the body as well as the mind. It has a calming and grounding effect on the emotions and may help reduce stress and anxiety and stimulates feelings of purpose during emotionally low times. Fennel has been used in aromatherapy for centuries because of its ability to soothe upset stomachs.
