Ginger Essential Oil

Ginger, Zingebar officinale, is steam distilled from the root of the flowering perennial that belongs to the plant family as Turmeric and Cardamom. Used for thousands of years by the Chinese and Indian cultures to help heal and ward off infections and colds, ginger is a warming, stimulating, oil. Well known for its ability to increase circulation which helps brighten a dull complexion, the oil also helps soothe skin irritation and redness.

In hair care, a Chinese folk remedy recommends rubbing ginger oil on the scalp to curb hair loss. It helps soothe dryness and itchiness and stimulates scalp circulation for healthier hair.

Aromatherapy Properties: The spicy aroma is stimulating and warming. It can sharpen the senses, enhance concentration, and help improve memory and recall. The scent can help reduce drowsiness, feelings of stress, sadness, anxiety, and irritability. For many, a simple whiff may help ease nausea and motion sickness.
