Litsea Cubeba Essential Oil

Litsea, Litsea cubeba, also known as May Chang, comes from a small tropical tree with fragrant lemongrass scented leaves and flowers. The essential oil is steam extracted from the small fruits shaped like peppers, from which the name "cubeba" derives. The lemony scent of litsea is very similar to lemongrass but softer and sweeter. Called May chang in China, its mild astringent and toning action which can be helpful with acne and oily skin. It has antiseptic, anti fungal and antiviral properties, which can help with coughs, colds and athletes foot.
