Palmarosa Essential Oil
Palmarosa essential oil, Cymbopogon martini, also known as Indian Geranium Oil, is steam distilled from a tall, wild grass native to India. It has floral, rose and geranium like scent with a sweet honey undertone. It contains a high percentage of geraniol, which is one of the same primary aromatic constituents in true Rose essential oil.
Palmarosa which regulates skin moisture and balances oil production is good for both dry and oily complexions. It moisturizes, hydrates, and helps dull, mature skin to help improve the appearance of the skin. The antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and hydrating qualities may help ease skin irritations, including acne, dermatitis, dry skin, eczema, and psoriasis.
In hair care, palmarosa helps regulate sebum production.
