Mediterranean Sea Salt

Mediterranean Sea Salt is harvested from the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Naturally evaporated by the sun and ocean air, our sea salt is unrefined with zero additives. High-quality sea salts contain a lot of trace minerals. Since the human body has the same concentration of minerals and nutrients as sea water, it’s no wonder that sea salt works naturally to help balance, protect and restore the skin.

Sea salt helps to deeply cleanse pores, balance oil production and decrease bacteria that can cause breakouts and acne. Since sea salt can absorb the toxins from the skin, it is a natural cleanser and detoxifier. It also helps increase circulation, has antiseptic properties and soothes and softens irritated skin.

Sea salt is an excellent exfoliator as long as the right sized grain in used on the right body part. The texture of the sea salt should be smooth to the touch, as you want it to gently slough off the dead skin cells, not scratch the skin.

Ancient Greeks and Romans both used warm seawater as a therapy to help them relax which is known today as talassotherapy, derived from the old Greek word thalassa, which means sea.

Buyer beware: Beware of cheap versions of sea salt. Often times it is refined which means the salt is washed to strip it of its trace minerals. Also, some commercial producers of sea salt include harmful additives in their salt products.
