Noirmoutier French Grey Sea Salt

Noirmoutier French Grey Sea Salt

Noirmoutier Sea Salt, also known as Celtic Sea Salt or French Grey Sea Salt, has been harvested by hand for over 1500 years from the island of Noirmoutier near Brittany. Also known as “fleur de sel” (flower of salt), it is processed only by the sea, sun and human hands which is crucial to preserving its nutrient profile.

The salt is harvested, sun-dried and stone ground and undergoes no treatment after harvesting. Since there is no processing, washing, or additives added, French Gray sea salt retains its wealth of trace elements, like calcium and magnesium.

Celtic sea salt has 17.5% trace mineral content as compared to 1.68% of table salts or over-processed "sea salt." These pure salt crystals, loaded with health-enhancing minerals, help exfoliate dead skin, clean pores, strengthen skin tissue, and stimulate circulation to keep skin looking more radiant.

Buyer Beware: Beware of cheap versions of Grey sea salt. Often times it is refined which means the salt is washed to strip it of its trace minerals. Also, some commercial producers of sea salt include harmful additives in their salt products.
