You're charged on the day you subscribe. If you're on the month-to-month plan, that same date becomes your billing date each month — subscribe on the 10th and you'll be charged on the 10th from then on.

Prepaid plans are charged once, on the day you order, and never again.

Your first box is prepared right away and leaves us within a day or two. There's no cutoff to worry about and no waiting for a monthly send-out — you'll receive the box that's current when you join.

After that, each box is scheduled for the same date each month, or every other month if you chose that pace, and ships a day or two after its date. If you prepaid, all of your boxes are scheduled the moment you order, each with its own date, so the whole run is set from the start.

No. A prepaid plan is a single payment for a set number of boxes — three or six. Once the last one ships, the plan simply ends. Nothing renews, and you won't be charged again.

If you'd like to carry on, you're welcome to order another set whenever you like.

Prepaid plans aren't refundable once the first box has shipped. We reserve and curate those boxes in advance, often setting aside small-batch products specifically for them, which is what allows us to offer the lower price per box.

If you'd rather not commit, start with a single box or the month-to-month plan — both can be stopped whenever you like.

Only the pace. You get the same number of boxes for the same price either way — you're simply choosing how they're spread out.

Three boxes every month arrive over three months. Three boxes every other month arrive over six. Six boxes every month take half a year; six every other month take a full year.

Choose the delivery schedule that works best for you.

We aren't able to make substitutions for any reason, including ingredient preferences or restrictions. Coconut oil is a base oil in nearly all of our soaps, and beeswax and honey appear in many of our balms and salves, so those boxes aren't something we can assemble. If you avoid a specific ingredient, the box likely isn't the right fit — and we'd rather tell you that up front than have you open a box you can't use. Shopping our full catalog directly is the better path: every product page lists complete ingredients, so you can choose exactly what suits you.

Order as normal, and at checkout change the shipping address to your friend's address. That's the whole trick. The box ships straight to them, and everything else — billing, order confirmation, any changes — stays with you.

Can I include a note? Yes, and we'd encourage it. Type your message into the "Add special instructions" field in the slide-out cart, or the "Add order notes or gift message" section on the cart page. We'll include it with the box.
