How To Use

Whether you are shaving your face, underarms, or legs, you will experience the most comfortable close shave if the hair is thoroughly softened with water, and hot water works best.

Directions for a traditional mug and brush wet-shave:

Begin with cleansed skin to help remove dirt and grime from the hair so that it can absorb water and soften. Natural Organic Shaving Soap

Shave during or after a hot shower or rinse your face with hot water to stimulate the skin, open the pores, and soften the hair
Give your shaving brush a good soaking with hot water
Shake the brush a bit--you want it wet, not waterlogged
Take the brush and swirl it over the surface of the soap to generate a rich lather--it will be bubbly at first but as you swirl the lather will become thicker
Apply brush to your face in quick, circular movements to produce a rich lather and exfoliate the skin
Apply the rich lather with the brush until it covers all the areas you want to shave
To generate a fuller lather, simply add more hot water to the brush
With a clean, sharp razor, take short, light strokes, shaving with the grain of your beard
Hold loose skin taut to help prevent cuts
Rinse the razor often
For a very close shave, you can re-lather and shave very gently across the grain
Rinse with cold water
Apply an After-Shave Balm or a Beard Oil or even a Facial Oil to moisturize your skin

Don't have a mug or brush? Once your skin is cleansed, rinsed, and hair is softened, massage the shaving soap onto the area to be shaved to create a rich, foamy lather. Shave as usual.

"I originally bought my rugged spice shaving cake back in 2019 and was excited to move away from commercial shave gel. I sadly did not have a good first experience with it, most likely because this was my first time with this type of product. I tried it for several shaves before giving up and it sat, languishing for several years unused. Several razor brand/blade count changes later and running low on my commercial shave gel, being too lazy to go the the store, I decided to give it another go. Still being an amateur with a shaving cake, I whipped up what I thought would be a good lather and then worked it some more, worked it in and gave it a go. I was very happily surprised to get a wonderful glide and close shave this time around and love that my face doesn't feel so dry after shaving. It's been 3 weeks since I started using this product and haven't had a bad shave yet. Now I just need to invest in a better shaving bowl."

THANKS: Hi Veronica, Thanks for writing in, that’s a good question, as skin types can be quite different! The nice thing about our shave soaps, as with many of our items, is that they are made from a very simple combination of just a few plant oils that each serve a purpose that when put together, help check the most important boxes for all skin types when shaving. The first ingredient being coconut oil. It is there specifically to help create a foamy lather because without good lather, you don’t get a good shave. After that, there are two different types of oil in there, we have Cocoa butter and Shea butter. Two, traditional raw butters that both provide a nice deep moisture to the skin. While Cocoa and Shea are specifically popular ingredients in Black skin care, they provide an excellent deep moisture to anyone using them followed by Castor Bean oil, which is very slick and helps the blade to glide smoothly and gently across the skin. These shaving bars were specifically formulated with lots of trial and error and feedback from men in the public who use traditional straight blade razors and shaving soaps. The feedback from all types of customers over the years has been good! We hope you try and enjoy our handmade shaving rounds! Der Duft entsteht durch die starken, aromatischen Verbindungen, die sogenannten ätherischen Öle, die in Blüten, Stängeln, Samen, Rinde, Wurzeln, Früchten und anderen Pflanzenteilen vorkommen. Für die Herstellung einer einzigen Flasche ätherischen Öls werden oft mehrere Pfund einer Pflanze benötigt.

Ätherische Öle verleihen Pflanzen nicht nur ihren einzigartigen Duft, sondern helfen auch dabei, Bestäuber anzulocken und Pflanzen vor Insekten und anderen Fressfeinden zu schützen.

Die chemische Zusammensetzung ätherischer Öle kann für manche Menschen wertvolle psychologische und physische aromatherapeutische Vorteile bieten.

Wichtig zu beachten: Um ein echtes ätherisches Öl zu erhalten, muss es ausschließlich physikalisch aus dem Pflanzenmaterial isoliert werden. Ätherische Öle werden NIEMALS mit Lösungsmitteln extrahiert.

Der Name dieser Seife lautet „Lavendel …“, aber ich rieche eher die anderen ätherischen Öle als Lavendel. Warum heißt es Lavendel?

Der Duft eines ätherischen Öls in jedem vollkommen natürlichen Produkt kann und wird sich im Laufe der Zeit und von Charge zu Charge verändern.
