How To Use

Remove the top and gently push up on the tube base to expose a small amount of the bug repellent.

For Best Results:

  • Apply to the skin as often as required paying special attention to places that bugs like to bite.
  • Since repellency is based on scent, we recommend that the repellent be reapplied at least every 1 to 2 hours for best protection.
  • If wearing short pants or shirts add few good swipes up and down the arms and legs
  • Most effective if applied about 5 minutes before venturing outside
  • For children under 12 months, consult with your pediatrician.

SAFETY:

  • If you are pregnant or have any health concerns please discuss the use of any product with your health care provider
  • For small children or those with sensitive skin it is recommended that you do a patch test before using and if you have any questions, check with your health care provider
  • New products may cause allergic skin reactions
  • Keep away from children. Please have adults do the applying and do not apply to children's hands
  • We recommend consulting your health care provider before using this product on an infant or young toddler
  • Avoid contact with eyes--in case of eye contact, wash eyes with plenty of water
  • If you venture into areas with high mosquito populations, such as remote wooded areas, tropical climate areas, etc., the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) recommends repellents that contain active ingredients such as DEET or Picaridin
  • Keep mosquitoes away from exposed skin by wearing long-sleeved shirts, long pants, and socks
  • See CDC recommendations for bug protection if traveling

FIRST AID: If skin irritation occurs, wash area with soap and water. In case of eye contact, rinse eyes with plenty of water.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL: Store in original container in cool place not accessible to children and pets. Do not reuse container. Clean thoroughly before recycling.

No More Bites!

"I LOVE this product. We have a huge problem with mosquitoes in our area. Neither I nor my kids have ever gotten bit when wearing it. It does feel a bit greasy going on, but it absorbs quickly and does not leave a residue. I always felt like I had to wash bug spray off immediately and I hated giving my kids multiple baths, but with this I don’t mind it staying on the skin until bath time. This has been a lifesaver this summer! I will say, I thought by the packaging that it would push up and I wouldn’t have to take the lotion out of the packaging. I’m not sure if I’m using correctly, but I take it out and roll it on our skin."

"Used the Don't Bug Me! Balm and Spray in Belize; in the mountains, jungle, and on the beach. You have to use way more than you think but once you get a good coat on, you don't get bites. I used the balm first and the spray on top, it gets oily/waxy but it works! Everyone around us had so many bites and we only got a couple here and there (when we didnt reapply often enough). Worked with both noseeums and mosquitos. Highly recommended."

Is this the same formula as the lotion bar but in an easier applicator?

Will this melt in the June Florida heat? We are traveling to Disney World in 2 weeks and I thought about packing this stick in the backpack we will be taking to the parks but I don't want it melting over all our stuff.
Good Day! The bug stick is the best option with regard to the repellents for warm weather and for travel. We wouldn't suggest leave any product sitting in direct sun for hours, but in a backpack, and for traveling around even in extreme heat it should be just fine! Der Duft entsteht durch die starken, aromatischen Verbindungen, die sogenannten ätherischen Öle, die in Blüten, Stängeln, Samen, Rinde, Wurzeln, Früchten und anderen Pflanzenteilen vorkommen. Für die Herstellung einer einzigen Flasche ätherischen Öls werden oft mehrere Pfund einer Pflanze benötigt.

Ätherische Öle verleihen Pflanzen nicht nur ihren einzigartigen Duft, sondern helfen auch dabei, Bestäuber anzulocken und Pflanzen vor Insekten und anderen Fressfeinden zu schützen.

Die chemische Zusammensetzung ätherischer Öle kann für manche Menschen wertvolle psychologische und physische aromatherapeutische Vorteile bieten.

Wichtig zu beachten: Um ein echtes ätherisches Öl zu erhalten, muss es ausschließlich physikalisch aus dem Pflanzenmaterial isoliert werden. Ätherische Öle werden NIEMALS mit Lösungsmitteln extrahiert.

Unsere Produkte sind nicht dafür gemacht, jahrelang in den Regalen der Geschäfte zu stehen.

Obwohl die chemische Struktur vieler natürlicher Inhaltsstoffe natürliche Konservierungsmittel enthält, sind diese nicht so wirksam wie die synthetischen Konservierungsmittel, die in kommerziellen Produkten zur Verlängerung der Haltbarkeit verwendet werden.

Mit Ausnahme von Seife werden unsere Produkte alle paar Wochen erneuert und sind beim Verkauf nicht sehr alt. Unsere Nicht-Seifenprodukte sollten innerhalb von 6 Monaten nach dem Kauf geöffnet werden.

Da wir keine Konservierungsstoffe oder chemischen Stabilisatoren verwenden, ist die wichtigere Frage: „Wie lange ist das Produkt nach dem Öffnen haltbar?“

Nach dem Öffnen sind Hautpflegeprodukte Schmutz und Mikroorganismen (Bakterien, Hefen und Schimmel) ausgesetzt, die in der Luft und auf der Haut vorkommen.

Sobald Sie ein Produkt öffnen und verwenden, wirkt sich allein die Art und Weise der Verwendung auf seine Lebensdauer aus.

Das POA-Symbol ist ein Standardsymbol, das die Nutzungsdauer eines Hautpflegeprodukts nach dem ersten Öffnen angibt.

  • Mit zunehmendem Alter von Duftprodukten kann ein Teil des natürlichen Duftes ätherischer Öle verloren gehen. Reine ätherische Öle haben einfach nicht die Haltbarkeit synthetischer Duftöle.
  • Mit der Zeit können natürliche Farben auch verblassen.
