Organic Tomato Juice

Organic Tomato Juice

Tomatoes, and other pure tomato products are rich in vitamins and minerals and have earned their place in the cosmetic industry due to their antioxidant and revitalizing properties. Tomatoes help refine enlarged pores, tone the skin, and provide soothing relief for troubled complexions.

Tomatoes are naturally high in the antioxidant lycopene, which belongs to a class of compounds called carotenes. The carotenes are plant pigments that provide the natural orange-red range in nature--carrots, pumpkin, tomatoes, etc. Lycopene is the best free radical scavenger among carotenes.

Tomatoes are also rich in vitamin C, however, Some believe that the enzymes in tomatoes can offer exfoliation benefits when applied to the skin.

Slightly acidic in nature, tomatoes contain high levels of potassium and vitamin C which may help brighten dull complexions. Due to their astringent properties, tomatoes can reduce excess sebum and help prevent oil build up which may be helpful for oily or acne-prone skin.

To help tighten enlarged pores, reduce excess oil, and brighten the complexion, tomato can be applied directly to the skin.

How to use:

  • Cut a tomato into half and rub it all over the face
  • Be gentle and do not rub vigorously
  • Let it rest for 10-15 minutes
  • Rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry

You can get creative and mix the tomatoes with other ingredients that your skin loves like honey, lemon juice, avocado, turmeric.

Every person has a unique skin tone as well as a texture and a tomato facial may not work for all skin types. If you have very sensitive skin always try a patch test before applying any ingredients to delicate facial skin.
