Organic Rose Petals

Rose Petals or Rose Petal Powder, Rosa spp, rich in Vitamin C and other antioxidants, help to fight with free radicals, skin irritants and refreshes skin naturally. Rose petals are suitable for all skin types. The astringent nature of the rose petals helps reduce excess oil, helps tighten and shrink large pores and helps in cleansing and toning skin. Rose petals or powder traps moisture into the skin and these moisturizing properties can help soothe dry and sensitive skin and make skin feel soft, fresh and glowing.

The scent promotes a feeling of well-being, love, peace and happiness, and helps decrease depression, insomnia, headaches and nervous tension. The antiviral and bactericidal properties of rose petals have been used as a natural remedy for coughs, colds, flu, asthma, and hay fever. It is also believed to act as an aphrodisiac.

Throughout its long history, the red rose still reigns as the ultimate symbol of passion and affection. There is a short story titled, The Nightingale and The Rose, published in 1888 by Oscar Wilde that describes how the red rose got its color. In this story, a Nightingale hears a young man weeping for a red rose in order to win the love of a young girl. The bird flies and flies but cannot find a red rose and eventually sacrifices her life or the sake of love, using her blood to stain a white rose red.
