Olive Wood Shaving Brush

Gift Shaving Brush: Olive WoodOlive Wood is a dense, prized wood renowned for its unique grain patterns. It features a nutty brown heartwood with dark veins and creamy yellow sapwood with brown stripes. The patina darkens with age.

The wood's high oil content repels water, and hand buffing reveals a natural finish. Paired with synthetic badger hair that mimics the real thing, this brush offers a cruelty-free luxury experience.

How to Care for the Wood Shaving Brush:

The wood will retain its natural beauty for a long time if treated properly.

After each use--rinse under a bit of warm water to remove leftover lather. Although wood is naturally water-resistant, the brush should not be left sitting in water and should be dried after use.

If the wood begins to look dry or worn, rub with a small amount of walnut or linseed (flaxseed) oils. Unfortunately, most vegetable oils, like olive, will go rancid after a period of time and can become gummy which may create an environment in which bacteria can multiply.
