What is a Scrap Sack?
Every piece of good soap deserves to be used.
When we cut our natural soap bars, small pieces remain — and rather than letting a single ounce go to waste, we gather them into our Scrap Sacks.
Same carefully crafted soap. No waste. Less packaging. A thoughtful savings for you and for the planet.
A Scrap Sack includes ONE POUND of soap or shampoo bar odds and ends packaged in a recyclable kraft paper bag made from recycled paper.
Your scrap bag will contain slivers, chunks, cracked bars, and odd-sized end pieces. Scents and colors may be faded, and they may not be pretty, but you will get all the goodness of our natural handmade soap at real savings!
What is a Scrap Sack Sale?
We save every leftover piece of soap from our cutting process, and when we’ve gathered enough, we package them up into our Scrap Sacks. At various times of the year, we release these special bundles. The type of scrap sack sale depends on the amount of scrap available at the time.
Although we will have over 1,000 scrap sacks available, they usually sell out within the first few hours.
When are the Scrap Sack Sales?
We usually have scrap sack sales 2 to 3 times a year.

Scrap Sack Sale Guidelines?
Because scrap sacks are made from the limited pieces left after our soap and shampoo production — and because they’re always in high demand — we’ve put a few guidelines in place to help make them available to as many customers as possible.
- There is a limit of ONE (1) soap scrap sack AND ONE (1) shampoo scrap sack per customer! (That is a total of 2 scrap sacks--one of each)
- There are no rainchecks.
- If you place additional orders for scrap sacks, they can NOT be combined to save shipping.
- Scrap Sacks are only available online. No phone or email orders, please.
- The shopping cart will not save scrap sacks. If you place some in your shopping cart and come back the next day, they may not be available when you check out!

How Many Scrap Sacks Will Be For Sale?
We offer our Scrap Sack sales when we have over 1000 scrap sack bags of soaps and shampoos available. As a result, there are no set dates throughout the year. These sales usually occur two or three times each year.**
What is a Mini Scrap Sack Sale?
Mini Scrap Sack sales occur periodically when we have a large collection of scrap from just a few soaps or shampoos. During these mini sales, there will be a large number of only a few varieties of soap and/or shampoo available.**
**Usually, you are able to choose which type of soap or shampoo scrap bag you would like to purchase; however, sometimes we only have a few bags of individual soap or shampoo scrap, so we have created Mystery Scraps Sacks.
What is a Mystery Scrap Sack?
- These Mystery Scrap Sacks still contain only one type of Soap or Shampoo
- While each individual sack is labeled with the single type of soap or shampoo included, there is no way to choose one soap or another when ordering -- it is a mystery until you receive it.
- We do not have a list of the soap sacks available and cannot provide this information via phone or email.
- They have a discounted price that is less than the normal Scrap Sack price.

How We Use Scraps

Great for Travel! When we travel I cut the scraps into small pieces and pack them in a muslin bag. They keep my suitcase smelling wonderful, and they are great for 1 to 2-time use in the bath or shower.
- Everyone can bring their favorites. No more mushy soap in a messy travel soap bar box and no more worries about liquids in your carry-on luggage!

- Cut the slivers into pieces and carry them in your purse or car. Now you can wash your hands with our natural soap instead of the chemical-laden detergents in public restrooms.
- Wet the slivers and stick one to another. Allow them to dry and you will create a big bar of soap or shampoo!
- Make a drawer sachet or car deodorizer from scented soaps. Cut slivers into small pieces and place them in a muslin bag or tied cotton cloth.
- Cut into pieces to make single-use soaps for camping or backpacking.
- Place scraps in a soap sack to use in the tub or shower!
