Caraway Essential Oil
Warm, Spicy Aroma for Fall Blends
Caraway Seeds, Carum carvi, are steam-distilled from the dried seeds of the caraway plant, a biennial herb in the parsley family and a close relative of anise, dill, and fennel. Used for centuries in both culinary and traditional medicine, caraway is well known for its distinctive anise-like aroma and long history of use for digestive wellness.
Topically, caraway essential oil offers cleansing, antibacterial, and astringent benefits. When diluted properly in a carrier oil, it helps balance oily skin, ease acne, support wound healing, and encourage new cell growth. Its toning action may also help soften the look of fine lines and improve overall skin clarity.
In hair care, caraway oil helps soothe itchy or irritated scalps and may aid in reducing dandruff and general scalp discomfort.
Aromatherapy properties: Caraway has an uplifting, gently stimulating scent that helps calm nerves, ease emotional fatigue, and restore a sense of grounded focus and energy.
We use caraway seed essential oil in our seasonal Pumpkin Spice Soap.
