Carrot Root Infused Oil
Slow-Steeped Care for Face, Skin & Hair
We use organic carrots to make our own organic Carrot Root Oil by slowly steeping thinly sliced, dehydrated carrots in organic sunflower oil. The carrots are gently warmed and infused over weeks, allowing their fat-soluble nutrients and natural pigments to migrate into the oil. The result is a rich, golden-orange oil with a soft, earthy aroma and a naturally vibrant color.
Carrot root oil is especially valued in facial skincare for its ability to support dry, mature, or environmentally stressed skin. Carrots are naturally rich in beta-carotene, along with vitamins E and other antioxidant compounds that help support skin comfort, radiance, and a healthy-looking complexion.
Because these nutrients are fat-soluble, they are particularly well suited for facial oils, where they help reinforce the skin’s moisture barrier, soften the look of dryness, and leave skin feeling supple and well conditioned — especially useful for supporting dry, mature, or sun-exposed skin.
We use our carrot root oil in two facial oils, where it plays a central role in nourishing the skin and enhancing natural glow. We also incorporate it into natural soap and shampoo bars, where it contributes conditioning, color, and a luxurious skin and hair feel.
Unlike essential oils or extracts, carrot root oil is a true carrier oil — gentle, nourishing, and suitable for any skin type and daily use.
In Facial Oils
Carrot root oil is a beautiful moisturizing base for facial care, especially for skin that feels dry, dull, or depleted. Rich in nutrients from the carrot root, the oil helps comfort the skin, improve softness, and support a smoother, more even-looking complexion.
In facial oils, carrot root oil provides deep moisture, antioxidant support, and a natural glow, helping skin feel nourished and balanced without heaviness. It is particularly well-suited for dry, mature, or environmentally stressed skin, but can also benefit combination or blemish-prone skin by supporting comfort and balance.
In Natural Soap
In natural soap, carrot root oil contributes beta-carotene and antioxidants that support a healthy skin feel while adding richness to the bar. It helps create a soap that feels moisturizing and conditioning, leaving skin soft, smooth, and comfortable after cleansing — especially appreciated by dry or mature skin.

Important Distinction
Carrot root oil is not the same as carrot seed essential oil.
The seeds and roots contain vastly different phytochemical profiles, which is why these oils serve distinct therapeutic purposes.
Carrot seed essential oil is steam-distilled from the seeds and used in much smaller amounts due to its concentrated aromatic compounds.
Carrot roots, by contrast, are rich in fat-soluble carotenoids and vitamins, making them ideal for gentle, nourishing infusions used as carrier oils. This type of infused oil is often called macerated oil.
The Takeaway
Carrot root oil is a reminder that effective skincare doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes it’s about slowing down, using the whole plant, and letting time do the work.
When thoughtfully infused, carrots bring color, comfort, and nourishment — exactly where they belong.
