Chamomile
Tny Blooms for Soothing and Healing

Chamomile, Matricaria recutitaone of the most beloved herbs in traditional herbalism, has been used for centuries to comfort irritated skin, promote healing, and soothe the senses. A gentle member of the daisy family, chamomile is rich in anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, and antioxidant compounds that calm redness, ease discomfort, and nourish delicate or sensitive skin.

Historically, chamomile infusions were used to soothe rashes, burns, and sunburn, while chamomile creams and oils were applied to ease itching from eczema, dermatitis, and other irritated skin conditions.

Chamomile’s calming phytochemicals—especially chamazulene and bisabolol—give it exceptional benefits for sensitive, dry, inflamed, or reactive skin. It has also been shown to help ease rosacea flare-ups and support relief from sunburn discomfort. In addition, its mild astringent qualities help deep-clean pores, making chamomile a supportive herb for acne-prone skin.

Beyond topical care, chamomile is widely known as a relaxing tea, traditionally used to help soothe stress, mild depression, nervous tension, headaches, and insomnia—qualities that complement its gentle nature in baby care and nighttime skincare rituals.

How We Use Chamomile

We craft our chamomile oil infusions by gently warming dried chamomile flowers in organic plant oils. This slow, steady heat releases the flower’s skin-loving compounds without harming their potency, creating a rich, golden infusion used as the base of many of our soothing products, such as healing salves and bath and body oils.

In addition to infused oils, we use whole chamomile flowers in:

  • natural soap for gentle, natural exfoliation
  • soothing herbal bath teas
  • a natural baby powder blend

Chamomile appears throughout our formulations, bringing calm, comfort, and gentle healing to skin and scalp.
