Baobab Oil
Super Food for Your Skin
Baobab oil, Adansonia digitate, is cold-pressed from the seeds of the baobab fruit tree, often called the “Tree of Life.” Native to Africa, Australia, and Madagascar, the baobab is a remarkable survivor of harsh, dry climates. It stores water in its massive trunk and produces large, fragrant white flowers that bloom only once a year—opening at night to be pollinated by bats and nocturnal insects.
The seeds, found inside its hard-shelled fruit, are rich in vitamins A, B, C, and E, along with omega fatty acids and plant sterols. These nutrients give baobab oil its ability to moisturize, soothe, and protect the skin. Though the oil is naturally thick, it absorbs quickly without clogging pores, making it ideal for facial oils and cleansing formulations.
Baobab oil is prized for its exceptional antioxidant content, which helps defend skin against environmental stressors and free radicals. Its fatty acids—particularly oleic, linoleic, and palmitic acids—help calm inflammation and support smooth, supple skin. With vitamin C levels many times higher than oranges, baobab oil also contributes to a bright, revitalized complexion.
Known as a “superfood for your skin,” baobab oil helps ease dryness, soften rough or chapped skin, and support the skin’s natural healing process. Gentle yet deeply nourishing, it’s especially suited to dry, mature, or sensitive skin and brings a sense of renewal with every use.
We use unrefined USDA Certified Organic cold-pressed baobab oil extracted from the large baobab fruits. This unrefined oil has not been bleached or deodorized and retains its natural color, characteristic aroma, and nutritional benefits.
