Virgin Coconut Oil
Classic Moisture from the Tropics
Virgin Coconut Oil, Cocos nucifera, is a light, penetrating oil extracted from freshly cut coconuts. Our unrefined, USDA Certified Organic, cold-pressed oil is minimally processed to preserve the natural nutrients and delicious scent of fresh coconuts.
To create virgin coconut oil, fresh coconut meat is grated, expeller-pressed into coconut milk, and then centrifuged to separate the solids, water, and oil. This cold extraction method, performed within hours of opening the coconuts, retains the oil’s natural antioxidants and nutrients and results in a rich and creamy oil that retains the delicious tropical scent of fresh coconuts and smells good enough to eat!
Naturally rich in saturated fats, vitamin E, amino acids, and medium-chain fatty acids such as lauric and caprylic acids, coconut oil helps support the skin’s protective barrier and maintain hydration.
It is an excellent emollient for dry, mature, or sensitive skin, helping to soften rough patches, ease irritation, and reduce moisture loss.
Virgin coconut oil also possesses natural antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory properties that help keep the skin calm and balanced.
Despite being solid at room temperature, it melts easily upon contact with the skin and absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy residue. Its light, soothing texture makes it a favorite for even the most sensitive or easily irritated skin.
In hair care, coconut oil penetrates deeply into the hair shaft to condition and strengthen from within. The fatty acids coat and protect each strand, adding softness and shine while helping reduce breakage, dryness, and frizz. A few drops can be used as a leave-in treatment for split or damaged ends and frizzies.
