This beautifully handcrafted 3 piece shaving gift includes a wood shaving brush and bowl plus a natural shaving soap. A great essentials starter for a anyone who wants a wet shave with a brush and lather for a close, comfortable shave.

The shaving brush is hand-turned from Olive Wood, a fruit wood highly prized for its exceptional grain patterns, also called figure. The heartwood is a nutty brown marbled with veins of darker tones that can be nearly black. The sapwood is a creamy yellow, often striped with brown tones. The patina becomes darker and richer as it ages. 

The natural wooden shave bowl (with a lid) is hand-turned from the beautiful, sustainable wood of the Indian Gum Arabic tree, also known as Prickly Acacia or Babool (babul) Wood. The bowls are made to fit our shaving soaps which are about 2 3/8 inch in diameter.

The moisturizing organic shaving soaps are made with cocoa and shea butters to create a creamy lather that is soothing and gentle on the skin to help prevent facial skin irritation. The added bentonite clay gives the perfect slip for the razor to glide smoothly over the skin for a clean, close, comfortable traditional wet-shave experience without razor burn. 

The Shaving Soap is available in two scents--Rugged Spice or Lemon Lime

Care for Wooden Bowl and Brush

The woods will retain its natural beauty for a long time if treated properly.

Handwash only. Wipe clean with mild soap and water and dry thoroughly after cleaning.

If the bowl begins to look dry or worn, rub with a small amount of walnut or linseed (flaxseed) oils.  Unfortunately, most vegetable oils, like olive, will go rancid after a period of time and can become gummy which may create an environment in which bacteria can multiply. 

After you have used up a shaving soap, clean the bowl before adding in a new shaving soap puck.
