Bay Laurel, Laurus nobilis, also known as sweet bay, comes from the same aromatic leaves used in Mediterranean cooking.
Steam distilled from the foliage of the evergreen laurel tree, this essential oil carries a complex scent that is spicy, slightly sweet, herbaceous, and at times medicinal, depending on where it is grown.
