Fir Needle Essential Oil
Crisp, Woodsy Aroma for Body & Mind
Fir Needle essential oil is steam distilled from the twigs and needles of fir trees in the genus Abies. We use two varieties—Siberian Fir (Abies sibirica) and Canadian Fir (Abies balsamea).
While fir belongs to the same botanical family as pine, spruce, and cedarwood, its scent is softer and more rounded, with a gentle sweetness that sets it apart.
Traditionally, fir needle oil has been used in remedies meant to support the body during seasonal challenges, and its refreshing evergreen qualities have long made it a favorite in room sprays created to help purify the air.
Evergreen oils—including fir—have also been used for generations in soap, steam baths, massage oils, and invigorating bath blends for their clean, forest‑fresh presence.
Used topically in a skin-safe dilution, the oil can bring a sense of ease to tired, achy muscles, and its bright evergreen character is often used in blends meant to help open the breath during times of congestion.
Aromatherapy Properties
Fir needle carries a fresh, crisp, balsamic aroma reminiscent of walking through a pine forest after rainfall.
Often used in natural perfumery for its clean, woodsy character, it feels both invigorating and grounding, bringing a sense of openness, quiet focus, and a subtle energizing lift that can help ease fatigue, clear the mind, and restore a feeling of calm energy.
Fir Needle carries the quiet brightness of a forest breeze, offering a crisp, refreshing finish.
