Sizing

Unisex clothing refers to items that have not been made to fit the sizing based on what the clothing industry refers to as the “typical” shape of a man or woman.

• A unisex tee or sweatshirt features a straight, slim, boxy style
• Although the style is unfitted, it is more similar to that of a “typical” male cut than a female cut
• For women with a larger bust or hips the straight cut can cause sizing to be a bit tricky
• Sizing is also tricky for men with very wide shoulders since a male specific T-shirt will often have more definition in the shoulders and arms
• If you are debating between two sizes, we would recommend sizing up.

What is Combed Ringspun Cotton?

Eco-friendly and sustainable organic ring-spun combed cotton is all about softness, durability, and comfort. It gets it name due to the manufacturing process designed to thoroughly soften and straighten each fiber. While normal cotton fiber looks gnarled and scratchy under a microscope, the yarn for ringspun cotton is continuously spun and twisted to produce long, thin, soft, very smooth threads that are exceptionally durable and free from the rough texture of standard raw cotton. The fibers are then combed to remove imperfect strands which means a smoother fabric.

• A study published in Textiles in 2023 found that yarns produced by blending cotton and bamboo fibers produced more breathable (air is able to flow freely through the fabric) and water-vapor permeable (absorbs and evaporates moisture faster from your skin) fabrics. 
• Bamboo also has an increased level of thermal regulation that helps keep the body comfortable in any season.

Eco-Friendly

• Bamboo is one of the fastest-growing woody plants in the world, making it a natural, sustainable, and renewable resource for apparel fiber.
• Bamboo naturally protects itself from crop-destroying insects, so there is no need for hazardous pesticides or chemical fertilizers.
• Bamboo also requires little irrigation or no irrigation.

Although some bamboo textile products are made using environmentally harmful chemicals, our bamboo viscose fabric is manufactured in a closed-loop process with non-harmful chemicals. This process does not chemically alter the structure of the cellulose and the non-toxic solvents used can be reused over and over again without entering the waste system. 

NOTE: Organic yarns will have some small marks (specks) that are visible. These marks are caused by the seeds and plant matter in the fabric. These are normal and are an inherent trait of organic fabric.
