Golden Jojoba Oil, Buxus sinensis, expeller-pressed from the seeds of the jojoba shrub (Buxus sinensis), has been treasured for centuries as a natural moisturizer for both skin and hair. Interestingly, jojoba oil is not a true oil—it’s a liquid wax ester.
According to "An Updated Comprehensive Review of Jojoba Oil" on the National Library of Medicine website (June 2021):
"Jojoba oil is composed of almost 98% pure waxes (mainly wax esters, few free fatty acids, alcohols, and hydrocarbons), sterols, and vitamins with few triglyceride esters, so it is widely known as liquid wax rather than oil or fat."
This composition makes jojoba remarkably similar to our skin’s own natural oil, sebum. As a result, it helps balance skin moisture and maintain a healthy barrier, making it one of nature’s most effective natural moisturizers.

Our Golden Jojoba Oil is USDA Certified Organic and cold-pressed from the seeds of the Jojoba plant. The oil is then filtered to remove seed particles. The oil has not been bleached or deodorized and retains its natural golden color, characteristic aroma, and nutritional benefits.
