How Our Bamboo Spoon Is Made
This spoon is made from carbonized bamboo, a process that uses heat and pressure to strengthen the wood naturally. During carbonization, bamboo is exposed to high temperatures in a low‑oxygen environment, which removes moisture and tightens the fibers — all without the use of synthetic chemicals.
The result is a material that’s more durable and better able to resist warping or cracking with repeated use. The heat also caramelizes the bamboo’s natural sugars, deepening its pale yellow color into a warm, golden tone.
Each spoon is finished with a food-grade mineral oil to help condition the surface and maintain a smooth feel.
